1. All participants, regardless of grade, age or language level, start the exam at the Beginners level. Students who answer a minimum of 10 out of the 20 questions on the exam will be eligible to continue to the next level.

2. Each question is 1.25 points. A student who successfully answers all the questions will receive 100 points. (1.25 points x 80 Q. = 100 points)   3. Each incorrect question deducts 2 points from the total score.

4. The results are announced separately in 3 grade groups for each language category:
GROUP 1 > students in grades 1, 2, 3, 4
GROUP 2 > students in grades 5, 6, 7, 8
GROUP 3 > students in grades 9, 10, 11, 12

5. The top 3 participants in each grade group and language category of the Semi-Final Round exams will receive medals and certificates by mail.

6. The remaining participants in each grade group and language category of the Semi-Final Round exams will be awarded digital medal certificates according to their total points.
The top 10% > Digital Gold Medal Certificate
The next 10-25% > Digital SILVER Medal Certificate
The next 25-50% > Digital BRONZE Medal Certificate
The next 50-80% > Digital HONORABLE Medal Certificate
The next 80-100% > Digital Certificate of PARTICIPATION

7. The top 10 students in each grade group and language category will qualify for the Final Round based on the results of the Semi-Final Round Exams. A total of 30 students in each language category will be eligible to participate in the Final Round.

B) Evaluation of the Final Round

1. The Total Score in the Final Round is 100 points and it is calculated as follows:
-  %50 of the score received in the Semi-Final Round Exam
- The total score for an interview - 50 points
[50% of the ​Semi-Final Round Exam Score + Interview Score (max. 50 p.)]

2. The interview score is calculated using criteria such as fluency, pronunciation and using range of grammatical structures.

3. All participants in the Final Round will receive a certificate of participation.

4. The top 3 participants in each grade group and language category will receive hard copy medals and certificates by mail.

5. As a reward, the top 3 participants in each grade group will be able to select any of the annual memberships available in the Awards menu.

6. The top 3 students in each grade group and language category (36 participants in total) will receive following Hi-Lingua Grand Final Discount Awards:
1st Places > 75% discount
2nd Places > 50% discount
3rd Places > 25% discount
