CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

  1. Registration Fee: If a student or group cancels their participation after paying the registration fee, the registration fee will not be refunded.
  2. Remaining Balance: If a student or group cancels their participation after paying the remaining amount, the amount paid will not be refunded.
  3. Optional Extra Program Fee: If a student or group cancels their participation optional trip after paying the participation fee, the amount paid will not be refunded.
  4. Visa Issues: The participation fee will not be refunded in the event that a visa cannot be obtained due to the absence of a visa appointment or if visa applications are rejected by the consulate. The consulate's decision to reject the application is based on an examination of the documents submitted by the applicants. This decision is influenced by the content and authenticity of the documents provided by students, parents and teachers during the visa application process. (The Olympiad committee will issue an official invitation letter to participants for submission to the French consulate to assist with the visa application process.)
  5. Government Travel Restrictions:
    a) If the French government closes the entry to the country from all nations due to COVID-19 or other reasons, 50% of the total paid amount will be refunded.
    b) If the French government closes entry from specific countries (e.g., due to high-risk regions) due to COVID-19 or other reasons, participants from these countries will be refunded 25% of the total paid amount.
  6. Non-Transferability of Payments: Payments made by students or groups are non-transferable and cannot be reassigned to another participant or event.
  7. Insurance: Participants are strongly encouraged to secure appropriate travel insurance that covers any potential cancellations or disruptions to their travel or participation in the event.
  8. Health and Safety: In the event that a participant falls ill or is unable to attend the event due to health reasons, the participation fee will not be refunded. Participants should ensure they have adequate health coverage for the duration of the programme.
  9. Force Majeure: In case of unforeseen circumstances or events beyond the control of the organisers (such as natural disasters, political unrest or global health crises), the organisers reserve the right to amend or cancel the event. Refunds in such cases will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
  10. Changes to the Programme: The Olympiad committee reserves the right to make changes to the event schedule or location as necessary. In the event of significant changes, participants will be notified and reasonable adjustments will be made.
