Evaluation & Results

A. Evaluation of the Global Final Round Exams

1. All participants, regardless of grade, age or language level, start the exam at the Beginners level.

2. Each question is 5 points. A student who successfully answers all the questions will receive 500 points. (5 points x 100 Q. = 500 points)

3. Each incorrect question deducts 2 points from the total score.

4. Exam results will be announced according to the age groups in each language category:
    AGE GROUP 1 > students born between 2011 - 2014
    AGE GROUP 2 > students born between 2007 - 2010
    AGE GROUP 3 > students born between 2003 - 2006

5. Each participant will receive a detailed exam report document showing the points and stars received at the Beginners, Movers, Runners and Flyers levels.

6. ​The top 3 participants of the Global Final Round exams in each age group and language category will receive hard copy medals and certificates by mail.

7. Participants in each age group and language category will receive the following digital medal certificates based on their total points:
    ​The top 10% > ​Digital Gold Medal Certificate
    ​The next 10-30% > ​Digital SILVER Medal Certificate
    ​The next 30-60% > ​Digital BRONZE Medal Certificate
    ​The next 60-100% > ​Digital Certificate of PARTICIPATION

8. The top 10 students in each age group and language category will qualify for the Advanced Final Round Exams based on the results of the Global Final Round Exams. A total of 30 students in each language category will be eligible to participate in the Advanced Final Round Exams.

B) Evaluation of the Advanced Final Round Exams

1. The Total Score in the ​Advanced Final Round is 500 points and it is calculated as follows:
  -  %50’ of the score received in the Global Final Round Exam
  - ​The total score for essay writing - 125 points
  - The total score for an interview - 125 points
  [50% of the ​Global Final Round Exam Score + Es
say Writing Score  (max. 125 p.) + Interview Score (max. 125 p.)]  

2. The essay writing score is calculated using criteria such as topic integrity, grammatical structure, time spent and word count.

3. The interview score is calculated using criteria such as fluency, pronunciation and using range of grammatical structures.

4. All participants of Advanced Final Round Exams will receive a certificate of participation as well as a detailed exam report.

5. The top 3 participants in each age group and language category will receive hard copy medals and certificates by mail.

6. As a reward, the top 3 participants  in each age group will be able to select any of the annual memberships between the Mondly or Codementum study portals.
